Congratulations to myself for finally entering the blogging world and thank you Adrian for starting me.The idea of writing has been with me since I started keeping a diary in my teens. Then it phases out as work, marriage and children took over my time. Colleagues like Radha and others has been joking about writing our experiences at our work place and publishing a book when we retire. Well that stays as a joke until blogging comes along. As we mature and I approaches retirement time, it just dawn onto me that maybe I could pick up the idea again.
Well the next reason was that I had always wanted to share my thoughts, ideas and opinions not forgetting the experiences I had for the last 50 years with my children, friends and family at large. In this busy world, everybody seems to be so busy that sitting down and just chatting and sharing ideas seems to require quite an effort So blogging comes into thought again. I used to wonder what will happen if I die a premature death and couldn't tell my family especially my children my thoughts and feelings as they go through different phases of their life. I read somewhere that there are those who will write letters in advance to be opened on certain occasions! well not too bad an idea but what happen if the letters were never found?
Lastly, as I approaches optional retirement, I feel a greater need to continue activating my brain. Learning to be more at eased with the ICT world in also another project to pick up. To this I thank Adrian for always having such a positive opinion of me. (He always feel that I am doing OK with the computer but there is always much more to learn.) But that doesn't mean I won't be calling for you as time goes by!
Let's see how I feel after this and when I'll come back again.
